Ty always wanted to be an author.
He started young, reading Mark Twain, Robert Louis Stevenson, Jules Verne, and Charles Dickens in his elementary years. These great storytellers inspired Ty to imagine new worlds and possibilities, as well as carry a BIG dictionary.
His father gave him Webster’s 2nd International Dictionary and a copy of Howard Pyle’s Robin Hood for Christmas when he was 6 and encouraged him to learn. This led to a love of learning that could only be quenched with the best books in hand.
Still an insatiable reader, Ty found his own stories were missing from his ever-increasing library. Putting pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) was natural and reminded him of the short stories he wrote as a child, always hopeful to emulate the classic storytellers who formed his youth.
Now, he’s doing so.
